Description

This half-day training will focus on utilizing principles of applied behavior analysis to set goals for academic and behavioral intervention, develop interventions that incorporate the use of evidence-based practices, and employ easy-to-use data collection procedures to monitor student progress.


Course Outline

1.  Understand the seven dimensions of applied behavior analysis and how they are applied to classroom-based interventions.

2.  Learn how to set specific academic, social, communication, and behavioral goals for intervention purposes.

3.  Learn how to use a variety of evidence-based practices to address academic, social, communication, and behavioral needs.

4.  Learn how to develop step-by-step interventions to address targeted goals utilizing evidence-based practices.

5.  Learn how to collect data to monitor student progress and make instructional decisions related to the targeted goals/interventions.
