Materials Needed: Laptop or Chromebook (additional iPads or tablets are also encouraged)
Instructor

Dr. Gilbert Eyabi
Associate Professor of Mathematics at Anderson University
Dr. Eyabi teaches Abstract Algebra, Advanced Calculus, Linear Algrebra, and Statistics at Anderson University. Gilbert has lived in Germany as well as the United States and his native Cameroon. He is involved in establishing a relationship between the cities of Anderson, South Carolina, and Buea, Cameroon. He also pastors a small church in Seneca, SC. He has been published in the Journal of Combinatorial Mathematics and Combinatorial Computing, Discussiones Mathematicae, and Proceedings of the 37th SE International Congress on Combinatorics, Graph Theory and Computing. Dr. Eyabi's feelings on teaching at Anderson University: "Being able to impact students through the rigor of academia and at the same time play a role in helping them in their walk with God keeps me passionate about teaching in Christian higher education. I enjoy the support of the administration, very friendly colleagues, flexibility in my teaching schedules and the control I have on the delivery of course content in my classes."
Description
District Math teachers will learn to organize content and offer resources to Oconee County Math students through Canvas.
Course Outline
Participants will...
- Learn to create courses and modules through Canvas.
- Discover ways that Math students can complete and share Math assignments through Canvas.
- Create and share materials for Math teachers across the district.
- Learn to import textbook online materials into Canvas modules.
