She has been teaching Marketing and Business Education courses at HCC for the past 6 years and spent her first two years teaching Business Education and Yearbook at Colleton County High School in Walterboro, SC. Before she began teaching she spent 10 years in the Advertising Industry as a Account Executive for Newspapers and a TV station. She has her BSEd in Marketing Education from the University of Georgia and is currently pursuing her Masters In Secondary Leadership at Furman.

Description
The definition of digital ethics is a continually changing and we as educators must be able to inform and help protect our students from the dangers that lie in the cyberworld, where they spend so much time. This hour long session will cover topic such as sexting, cyberbullying, legal consequences, ethical use of digital resources, overuse of technology, and social media. In addition to broadly covering these topics, you will also receive resources to assist you in preparing your digital ethics curriculum to fit your classroom needs.
