Location: TBD
Duration: June 5th - 7th, AM only
Commitment: Elevator teachers will be expected to assist in district and school technology trainings and act as technology mentors to their fellow teachers.
Target Audience: Forward thinking teachers excited about technology and innovative ways to teach students
Recertification Credit: 9 (participants can enroll in Open Labs for additional credits)
Stipend: $150 (participants can enroll in Open Labs for additional credits)
Materials Needed: Laptop, Chromebook, or other such device

Description
SDOC Elevator Teachers will receive extensive training in the use of Chromebooks, Google Apps, Canvas, and Blended & Personalized Learning in the classroom. Elevator teachers will be expected to assist in district and school technology trainings and act as technology mentors to their fellow teachers.
Participants enrolled in the program have to option to enroll in other sessions during the afternoon or may enroll in Open Labs (available through the Catalog) to allow extra time to complete necessary assignments and trainings.

Participants will...
- Receive a crash course in Chromebooks
- Receive extensive training in blended and personalized learning
- Receive extensive training in using Google Apps for Education
- Receive extensive training in using Canvas in the classroom
- Serve as a mentor to fellow teachers in their schools
- Participate in and deliver professional development to fellow teachers in their schools and district
