Marge Bright and Ahnna Gibson
Marge Bright, PhD, CCC-SLP, has served as the director of special education in SDOC for the past 10 years. She has also served as a curriculum coordinator in special services, a curriculum coordinator at the elementary school level, and a speech-language pathologist. She is currently serving on the board for Leadership Oconee and on advisory committees for Clemson LIFE and the ASL-English Educational Interpreting Program at Clemson University.
Ahnna Gibson is the assistant director of special education in SDOC. She has over eighteen years of experience in working with students with disabilities. She has served a variety of students in a variety of different roles including special education teacher, PBIS Coach, behavior interventionist and assistant director. She resides in Walhalla with her husband and three children.

Description
This half-day training will begin with an overview of the components of a compliant transition IEP. The rest of the session will be a review of compliant and non-compliant transition IEPs with time for Q&A and to work on individual IEPs. Laptops are required.
Course Outline
1. Learn the essential components of a compliant transition IEP and be able to identify compliant and non-compliant examples.2. Learn how to align present levels of academic/functional performance, findings, goals, and services with the post-school considerations section of the IEP.
4. Learn how to write measurable transition goals.
