Description
Students with a growth mindset believe that intelligence is developed. These students focus on understanding over looking smart, see effort/struggle as the key to achievement, and THRIVE through challenge. Students with a fixed mindset believe people are born with a set amount of intelligence, and they can’t do much to change that. These students focus on looking smart over learning, see struggle/effort as a sign of low ability, and wilt in the face of a challenge. Research shows students who have developed a growth mindset are more likely to own their learning and as a result, they do better in school. This session will provide tangible ways to teach growth mindset to yourself, your students, and how to transform the culture of your classroom.
