Autism spectrum disorders now affect one in every thirty-six births, a prevalence that places increasing numbers of students with autistic characteristics in general education classrooms each year. Teachers across all grade levels are tasked with supporting the diverse learning needs of these students. This presentation will explore the neurological differences that influence the learning processes and behaviors of autistic students, offering insights to enhance educational strategies.
