Course Description
English 4 completes the global perspective initiated in English 2. Although its focus is on European (Western, Southern, Northern) literature, this course includes important American texts influenced by European philosophy or action. Students will use language to communicate effectively in a wide variety of formats, deliver well-organized formal presentations and demonstrate a command of standard American English. The course will also look at nonfiction text and media for enrichment and modern day connections.
