Course Description

Family and Consumer Sciences 1 is a comprehensive course designed to provide students with the core knowledge and skills needed to manage their lives. Project based instruction provides students with opportunities to apply higher order thinking, communication, and leadership skills that can be applied to real life situations immediately. Academic alignments are incorporated in each unit plan that covers interpersonal relationships, human development, family well-being, careers, family and consumer resources, and nutrition and wellness.
