Course Description
Mechatronics is a new field involving the setup, maintenance, and repair of automated manufacturing systems. The skills required of a mechatronics technician involve problem solving, integrated electrical systems, fluid power, electronics, computer controls, PLCs, instrumentation, robotics, and information technology. Mechatronics combines a host of integrated skills that can be applied in a variety of careers. Mechatronics 4 uses prior knowledge from Mechatronics 1, 2, and 3 to become proficient in the area of AC and DC circuits. Electrical and electronic circuits are an important concept in the field of mechatronics. A mechatronics technician must be extremely knowledgable in the area of AC and DC circuitry to be successful in the field.
