Course Description
Mechatronics is a new field involving the setup, maintenance, and repair of automated manufacturing systems. The skills required of a mechatronics technician involve problem solving, integrated electrical systems, fluid power, electronics, computer controls, PLCs, instrumentation, robotics, and information technology. Mechatronics combines a host of integrated skills that can be applied in a variety of careers. Mechatronics 2 incorporates the safety skills learned from Mechatronics 1 to develop proficiency in the use of hand and power tools along with the required measuring instruments and techniques to perform job task safely and correctly.
