Course Description
Mechatronics is a new field involving the setup, maintenance, and repair of automated manufacturing systems. The skills required of a mechatronics technician involve problem solving, integrated electrical systems, fluid power, electronics, computer controls, PLCs, instrumentation, robotics, and information technology. Mechatronics combines a host of integrated skills that can be applied in a variety of careers. Mechatronics 3 uses prior knowledge from Mechatronics 1 and 2 to develop proficiency in the area of fluid power; hydraulics and pneumatics. Various applications of fluid power will be discussed, demonstrated, and practiced.
