Course Description
All Honors Art Courses require a portfolio review and tryout process. See your school Art Teacher for specific portfolio and assessment information. The Art 4H course is intended for the self-motivated student who possesses strong skills and displays a desire to further develop their portfolio of work. The course focuses on advanced conceptual and technical work with the intent to develop the student’s independence as an artistic voice. Honors level students work with professional level materials, equipment, and supplies. The course is recommended for students who have an interest in The SC Governor’s School for the Arts, Visual Art as a Technical School or College Degree Major and/or Advanced Placement Art.
