Full course description
This two-day session will help teachers learn how to use guided reading effectively as a part of their balanced literacy instruction. On Day One, they will experience an overview of guided reading and learn critical instructional elements to help their students become readers. During the afternoon of Day One, the presenter will demonstrate strategies for working with struggling readers at the primary levels (K-2). On Day Two, teachers will participate in a hands-on workshop to learn in-depth about guided reading instruction for emerging readers.
