Trauma negatively impacts school success for at least 1 in 4 students in every single classroom, every day. Whether youth show behavior problems, academic difficulties, or a combination of both, all PreK-12 certified and noncertified educators must learn how to better understand and meet traumatized students’ needs through multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS). Ms. Jen’s professional development for educators and other helpers assists teams in improving school culture, supporting students’ development of social/emotional competencies, and increasing learning outcomes for all kids. A variety of options are offered, ranging from a 45-minute keynote presentation introducing participants to the trauma-sensitive mindset necessary for better understanding and beginning to meet the needs of traumatized students, to multi-day trainings, depending on desired outcomes.
