Duration: 8:30 A.M. - 3:30 P.M. (Teachers should report at 8am to watch the PD Day Opening Session)
Commitment: All Day

Target Audience: Teams of up to 3 (non-special education) per school
Description
The purpose of a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) is (1) to determine the function or purpose a behavior serves, (2) the variables that influence the behavior; and, (3) components of an effective behavioral intervention plan (BIP).
Course Activities
Participants will examine the principles of behavior, conduct a Functional Behavioral Assessment from scenarios, develop a Behavioral Intervention Plan based on Functional Behavioral Assessment, and increase knowledge of writing Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavioral Intervention Plans within Enrich
