Read Aloud: The Heart of a Vibrant Literacy Classroom (SDOC Elementary Reading Institute)

Join Maria for a professional learning experience to explore how interactive read aloud can support learners in any setting. Using The Ramped-Up Read Aloud as our anchor text, we will share and discuss teaching techniques to guide readers and writers across the school day. You will have an opportunity to dabble with ideas in your favorite picture books. Maria's goals are that you leave the session feeling energized and that you have a long list of picture books you want to read to your students next year. Participants will each receive a copy of The Ramped-Up Read Aloud by Maria Walther. You will need to have that book available for this session. Participants will need to have available to them during the workshop a stack of their favorite picture books.
