Description
This course is a required self-paced course for all teachers. It should take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Participants will learn the difference between BICS and CALP and how they affect learning a second language. Participants will also learn how to use the WIDA English Language Development Standards in their lessons and how to modify lessons based on English proficiency levels using the Can Do Descriptors. Headphones are needed if taking the course in a group setting.
